I Could Paint The Sky Today
In the daringness of the moment,
There is some blue paint left over,
And a dash of white pearly love
To put to use inasmuch as one can,
To paint the sky red.
In the blaring brashness of the daytime
There is a hint of olive-y green
And a blossom of gorgeous grey joy
Raw, uninhibited, to exploit to the furthest extent.
To paint time yellow.
Today’s the day, ladies and gentlemen,
That time shall be tainted
Love will be lapped up with
Luscious layers of gold and blue.
Today’s the day that flew
Off the calendar’s boxes and
Circled mockingly over it.
I could pass time by today.
I could paint the sky today.
